Tis the season for more rad Film festivals around the world.  What are YOU up to this weekend?  Why not check out one of the great film festivals in your neck of the woods.  Ok so I’m a bit biased as the director of The Chamonix Adventure Festival which hosts a 4 night film competition of top end documentary films, but I swear, even before I took on this role, I always jumped at the chance to check out various Adventure and Mountain Film Festivals when I could.

Fall is the season, and there’s a big line-up of festivals, there might be one in your neighborhood.  Let’s start with this weekend, today, actually.  What are you doing reading this post when you could be watching films and speakers tell amazing stories about mountain adventures in Edinburgh, Scotland at the Edinburgh Mountain Film Festival running October 26th-28th. I’m about to board a plane to head there myself as I write to give a lecture, come on down.

If you’re on the other side of the pond in Alberta, Canada, you can pop over to Banff and visit one of the biggest and most diverse mountain film festivals in the world, the Banff Mountain Film Festival.  The festival kicks off tomorrow and runs for an entire week, October 27th to November 4th.

Next on the list we have the Kendal Mountain Festival, in the Lake District of England November 15th to November 18th.
