Big news from the EpicTV studio in sunny Chamonix. The beta version of EpicTV is now up and running -stooooooked!
To celebrate this little miracle, we’re offering six months of EpicTV absolutely free to any of you willing to help test our service and let us know what kind of … erm … ‘surprises’ you encounter. All you have to do is login using your Facebook account and all the magic of our video-on-demand service for adventure films will be at your fingertips.
The platform we’ve spent so many sleepless nights developing is the first of its kind to work with personal computers as well as connected TVs, tablets and smart phones which will be working by early June, Inshallah. What better way to put all that high-tech gadgetry to use than by tuning them into that killer surfing, skiing, climbing, mountain biking, paddling or BASE jumping film you’ve been itching to see.
To date, we’ve got deals inked with more than 400 films but because we’re using a variable bit rate to optimize these films for all devices, it’s taking us longer to post them than we expected. So even though you’ll only find around 200 films on the service right now, you can rest assured that we’ve acquired ourselves a shiny new technical thingy and enslaved a few more computer nerds which will enable us to encode films twice as fast as the old one. Did I mention we’re in beta mode?
So if you’re in need of a little inspiration for the summer, and fancy yourself to be a top bug hunter, then head over to EpicTV.com and sign up. Enjoy the service and we hope we don’t hear from you!
